Fountain City Brass Band

Founded in 2002, the Fountain City Brass Band is one of the most acclaimed brass ensembles in the United States. They have won six U.S. Open Brass Band Championships and ten North American Brass Band Championships. In 2009, they became the first American band ever to win a major brass band competition on UK soil at the Scottish Open. Dr. Joseph Parisi, Professor of Music at UMKC, has served as musical director since 2006. Founder Lee Harrelson serves as Artistic Director.
