Formed in 1983, the North American Brass Band Association (NABBA) is dedicated to promoting British-style brass banding throughout the United States and Canada. Its mission includes sponsoring contests at all levels—from local to international—to raise performance standards and encourage musical excellence among amateur brass bands.
NABBA also works to support the growth and development of both amateur and professional brass bands, offering guidance and resources to help ensembles thrive. In addition, the organization is committed to music education and public outreach, aiming to enrich both its members’ musical skills and the public’s appreciation of the brass band tradition.
By serving as a source of musical and organizational support, NABBA plays a key role in sustaining and advancing the brass band community across North America.
