Several band members who teach in the schools have inquired about professional development credit for attendance at NABBA. Individual school corporations decide what they will accept as professional development credit for their teachers.  However, attendance at band and ensemble performances and participation in seminars may be accepted by school systems for this purpose.  Band musicians who are participating in or attending the 2008 NABBA championships who are interested in professional development credit should contact their school systems to see if this will be acceptable.  Musicians interested in documentation of their attendance/participation should please contact Dr. Joanna Goldstein at Indiana University Southeast (jgoldste@ius.edu) by March 14^th.  A letter or certificate on university stationary will be created with the individual band member’s name and will contain the list of seminars, etc available at the event.  Each person with a certificate can get a stamp at the seminars he/she is attending.  The prepared forms may be picked up at the NABBA registration table in the lobby of the Ogle Center at Indiana University Southeast on Friday, March 28^th.
